Associate Caught Sweethearting / Discounting

In this video, Agilence software is used to identify a cashier sweethearting by using ‘price checks’. Cashiers use the price check key to sweetheart because it exhibits all the characteristics of a regular scan. The scanner beeps, the price shows on the monitor, but item is not actually charged. Sweethearting (or discounting) is the term used when a store employee illegally gives away product to a customer.
