Agilence Names Ed Parks VP of Engineering
Company continues growth by hiring technology executive

Camden, N.J. (May 21, 2009) — Agilence, Inc., a leader in intelligent video analysis solutions, today announced the selection of Ed Parks as Vice President of Engineering. With a background that includes 25 years of experience managing the development of software and computer products, Parks will be responsible for all product development and quality assurance functions at Agilence.
“Ed brings a vast amount of leadership experience that is vital to Agilence as we continue to expand our product development and grow as a company,” states Russ Hawkins, President and CEO of Agilence.
Prior to joining Agilence, Parks served as the Vice President of Engineering at PERFMAN where he oversaw product development and led global development teams.
Furthermore, as Vice President of Worldwide Engineering at Neoware, he directed the development of thin clients and enterprise desktop management software while overseeing the integration of more than a dozen acquisitions into the Neoware portfolio. During his tenure at Neoware, the company grew from $8 million to $100 million in revenue over five years and became the second worldwide market share leader in thin clients.
Parks also served as Corporate Director for Product and Market Development as well as Director of Engineering for Commodore Business Machines. Additionally, he spent 10 years with Eastman Kodak in various engineering management positions.
“The opportunity to join Agilence appealed to me due to the company’s mature technology foundation supported by patented underpinnings and a strong installed base,” states Parks, who graduated from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and holds an MSEE degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.
