How It Works

Working with your finance, operations, IT, and loss prevention teams, Agilence’s shrink reduction team will define a set of key performance indicators (KPI) designed to eliminate cashier shrink and to ensure cashier compliance with store policies and procedures. Once defined, Agilence’s team will design a set of tailored analytics unique to your operational environment and linked to your KPIs.

Agilence A typical approach will be to analyze your video and scan data across all stores and all POS terminals overnight producing a set of suspect transactions from every store. Each morning, Agilence’s shrink reduction team will analyze and drill down into these suspect transactions; first viewing a precisely timed video image and then, if warranted, a concise clip of the video associated with the suspect transaction. Once a shrink incident or a policy violation is confirmed, our team will prepare a succinct multimedia incident report and deliver it to mailboxes defined by you. Incident reports identify the specific terminal and employee where shrink or policy violations have occurred and include a replica of the receipt and the synchronized video clip. These reports are used by store management for prosecution or training purposes.

There is no limit to the number and type of KPIs that can be monitored, and customers can and should work with Agilence’s shrink reduction team to refine the process and policies being analyzed on a dynamic basis.
