Agilence, Inc. Completes Acquisition of CA Technology

Agilence, Inc Gains Key Patented Intellectual Assets in Addition to a Marquee Customer Base and Support Team to Launch Its Move Into the Next Generation of Event-based Video Analytics (eVA)

Mount Laurel, NJ - September 15, 2006 - Agilence, Inc successfully acquired the assets of CA Technology (CAT) from a SBIC consortium for an undisclosed amount today. CAT, based in Mt. Laurel, N.J., specializes in integrating event-based systems to digital video. The firm’s eVision Solution Suite is marketed under three vertically specific brands, namely StoreVision, TollVision and GamingVision. Secured by four patents, the robust eVision platform will serve as the base for the innovative solutions that Agilence will bring to the world of Business Intelligence.

In the near future, Agilence will make its first new product announcement with the release of its eVision Enterprise Edition. This product has been successfully deployed in both the Retail & Transportation Vertical markets. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which operates both the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, is using the Enterprise Edition of TollVision to help monitor and audit more than 500 lanes – all from a central location in New Brunswick. The combination of the TollVision plaza systems and the Enterprise Edition helps the NJTA protect the toll transactions of the “World’s Busiest Roadway”, which approached $860,000,000 in total toll collections in 2004. Another one of the Enterprise Edition early deployments manages over 100 retail stores in the northeastern United States. An executive with that operation was quoted as saying that the abilities of combining transactional queries over the enterprise with corresponding video images has been “…absolutely amazing. It has dramatically helped Loss Prevention, Front-end management, Store Operations, Marketing, and Human Resources. We can’t imagine running our operations with out the intelligence that the Agilence StoreVision Enterprise Edition provides.”
