Loss Prevention Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the POS Analyst will be to use skills, knowledge, experience, and training to identify associates creating cash and merchandise losses at the “Point of Sale” in all assigned stores and communicate those findings to the Manager of Analyst Group. This will be accomplished by using our proprietary software and remote access from our Camden location.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Primary focus will be to use the Agilence software to identify associates creating financial losses at the “Point of Sale” for assigned stores/companies
- Check e-mail daily
- Log on to customer account(s)
- Conduct special audits (log time) as requested
- Conduct regular audits of assigned customer accounts utilizing queries determined by your manager
- Maintain detailed record of all transactions viewed daily
- Enter daily activity into case management database
- Report all cases daily related to losses or operational issues to the Department Manager
- Develop close working relationship with Loss Prevention managers of assigned stores/companies to assist in identifying and building core cases
- Report all system issues immediately to the Help Desk for quick resolution, to include camera issues, servers down and queries not working properly
- Participate in conference calls within department when scheduled
- Note any comments or suggestions related to “Point of Sale” losses each day to help identify and prevent future losses to include but not limited to new queries
- Perform other functions as requested by manager
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Cashier, Point of Sale or Retail experience preferred
- Knowledge of exception reporting system such as Aspect, XBR, Retail Experts, etc. preferred but not required
- Must have excellent computer skills and proficient in the use of Microsoft Work, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Subject to background check and drug testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a high school graduate
